Cashmere Care & History
The World is a Dream
Handmade in Nepal by craftsmen using centuries old handloom machines with 100% cashmere, one of the finest, softest, and warmest fabrics in the world, St. KARA's Cashmere Scarfs are so refined, they may belong in the realm of the divine.
Weighing a little over just 70 grams (3oz), each St. KARA's scarf is as fine as a silk scarf, and pure as wedding veils— yet softer and more refined to the touch. Our scarf is so fine, it can pass through a ring. Hand-dyed by St. KARA's Nepalese dyemasters, each scarf not only feels like the softest clouds on the skin, but is hand-dyed of a gentle color from a beautiful dream.
Subtle and sublime, lighten all the senses with these wondrous, mystical colors from St. KARA.
Centuries Old Process
in Making Cashmere Textile
Doing away from modern machines, we achieve the incredibly fine quality of our cashmere scarfs by resorting back to using centuries old traditional Nepalese handloom machines made and designed specifically for making the finest cashmere textile.
This centuries old process in making cashmere requires handles, gears and paddles performed arduously by skilled craftsmen. The result is an incredibly fine and airy cashmere scarf that is versatile to wear and style in almost all four seasons due to its superb fineness.
Each St. KARA cashmere scarf is hand washed in the cold water upon completion and dried in warm sunlight. The handmade cashmere scarf is then dyed by skilled dyemaster to the appropriate and uniquely St. KARA color. Our colors together resemble that of a beautiful dream and are one-of-a-kind.
Our scarf is brought to the mending table piece by piece, checked for any loose thread by experienced craftsmen. Finally, the beautiful St. KARA's scarf is ironed, carefully folded and packaged inside a beautiful pearl white gift box, sealed with our Peacock logo, finally, as a fine dream for you to wear.
Each batch of St. KARA Scarfs are hand-dyed by dyemasters and the color may be slightly different from your computer screen, or from the previous batch.
Product Care
Due to the delicate nature of our very fine cashmere which is made through traditional Nepalese cashmere weaving methods, please use your St. KARA Cashmere Scarf with care.
Please store your St. KARA Scarf in a dry, room temperature space. If small holes or gaps appear on your Scarf due to stretching of the fabrics, they can be self-repaired by rubbing the fabrics around such area so the fabrics return back to their original alignment. Cleaning is done through Dry Clean only. Avoid using sharp or pointy object when wearing a St. KARA Scarf.
